About Proposition 65

Proposition 65 applies to a wide range of consumer products, including apparel and accessories. The list of chemicals covered by Proposition 65 includes substances that may be found in dyes, pigments, metals, or other materials used in the manufacturing process of clothing and related products.

The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean that a product is unsafe or violates any product safety standards. Rather, it indicates that the product may contain trace amounts of a listed chemical above California’s established threshold levels.
